The grand opening will feature the official lighting of the Cumberland by Mayor Kim McMillan along with special guests, Channel 4 News Snowbird and Santa Claus!

Giving on the Cumberland Returns to Christmas on the Cumberland
Giving on the Cumberland will continue this year and encourages visitors to help local nonprofits in need. From November 25-December 20, “request ornaments” with items of need from local nonprofit organizations will be placed on Christmas trees in the McGregor Museum.
Visitors to Christmas on the Cumberland will have the opportunity to take a “request ornament” and bring their donation to the Parks & Recreation main office (102 Public Square) at any time, or to the museum December 19-20, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., where you’ll also be given a chance to meet the participating nonprofits.

Christmas in Occupied Clarksville
Make plans to visit Fort Defiance Interpretive Center on Sunday, December 14 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. to experience the holidays as soldiers and civilians did in the 1860’s.
Visitors to the event will be able to step back in time and see period decorations, visit with a nineteenth century Santa, and enjoy eggnog, cakes and caroling. The event is free and open to the public.
